Welcome to the 15th Annual Hang-Tyme's Fantasy Football League.

TIGHT ENDS

Legend

Elite/Franchise Players

>Alge Crumpler, ATL – Even without Vick, Crumpler is the go-to-guy in passing game

>Antonio Gates, SD – Has been posting numbers consistently for the past three seasons

>Jason Witten, DAL – Could end up posting the best FFL numbers among TE’s this year
>Tony Gonzalez, KC – Future Hall-of-Famer is still one of the league’s most consistent

Top

Impact Players

>Heath Miller, PIT – Has been somewhat hidden in offense, but should break out this year

>Jeremy Shockey, NYG – A bit inconsistent last year, but some was due to poor QB play

>L.J. Smith, PHI – With McNabb returning, Smith should post some solid numbers again

>Todd Heap, BAL – The QB play isn’t as solid, but Heap is still the team’s top receiver

Solid Players

>Ben Troupe, TEN – Young will look for him more often since his WR’s are rather weak

>Benjamin Watson, NE – Good size/strength combo, but hasn’t been able to put it together

>Chris Cooley, WAS – Deceptive FFL player, but has good numbers and is productive

>Eric Johnson, NO – Could post some serious numbers if he and Brees develop chemistry

>Kellen Winslow, CLE – Injuries have slowed him in the past, but can be dangerous healthy

>Marcus Pollard, SEA – Has good receiving skills, and Hasselbeck loves TE’s at the goal-line

Average Players

>Alex Smith, TB – Gruden likes to use TE’s in the red zone, and Smith has good size

>Dallas Clark, IND – Solid hands and decent speed to get open deep; good in red-zone

>George Wrightster, JAX – Unheralded player quietly posted solid numbers is 2006

>Jim Kleinsasser, MIN – Vicious blocker is not used often enough on passing downs

>Owen Daniels, HOU – Underrated performer may still improve with Schaub at the helm

>Vernon Davis, SF – Still has a lot to learn, but has great athletic ability and speed

Top

FFL Backup Material Players

>Anthony Becht, TB – He’s the team’s starter, but Smith is the better receiver of the two

>Bubba Franks, GB – Starting to lose his skills, but is still the best of the team’s bunch

>Chris Baker, NYJ – Huge blocker is default starter in the passing game as well

>Daniel Graham, DEN – Signed a huge contract, but is still more of a blocker than receiver

>David Martin, MIA – Not as good as departed McMichael, but better attitude & work ethic

>Desmond Clark, CHI – Starting to show signs of aging, but still has some games left

>Kyle Brady, NE – May catch a few TD passes here and there, but no yardage threat

>Randy McMichael, STL – New team may give him better work ethic he lacked last year

>Steve Heiden, CLE – Filled in nicely when Winslow was out, but is still backup material

Bye-Week Fill-ins at Best Players

>Bo Scaife, TEN – Troupe is the starter, but Scaife will make occasional TD grabs in games

>Dan Campbell, DET – Rarely posts good numbers, but seldom gets shut out in games

>Dan Wilcox, BAL – Heap’s backup rarely sees playing time, but catches passes well

>Jeb Putzier, HOU – Solid NFL backup that probably won’t get enough playing time for FFL

>Leonard Pope, ARI – Didn’t show much as a rookie, but has some potential

>Marcedes Lewis, JAX – Rookie season didn’t show much, but has good size and speed

>Reggie Kelly, CIN – A default starter for years, he’s finally showing signs of producing

>Robert Royal, BUF – Not a solid NFL starter, but could end up posting occasional numbers

Top

Unproven/Rookie Players

>Ben Patrick, ARI – Rookie has tons of physical ability, but football skills are raw

>Greg Olsen, CHI – Top TE drafted this year, still has a lot to prove as a blocker

>Jeff King, CAR – Team’s top TE is only a starter by default; lacks on-field experience

>Joe Klopfenstein, STL – Unproven youngster will get his opportunity this season

>Zach Miller, OAK – Impressed coaches enough to be projected as a starter to open season

Non-ratable Players

>Anthony Fasano, DAL – Youngster is still just mainly used as a blocker, but could blossom

>Ben Utecht, IND – If he can beat out Fletcher for the no. 2 spot, he could fill in bye weeks

>Courtney Anderson, FA – Recently cut by the Raiders, but could land somewhere soon

>Jerramy Stevens, TB – If his attitude improves, he could move into the starting role soon

>Kevin Everett, BUF – Potential-filled player could be a starter if he shows good work ethic

>Tony Scheffler, DEN – Has good receiving skills, but is prone to nagging injuries

>Visanthe Shiancoe, MIN – Solid athlete with good physique, but not good in traffic
